Happy holidays everyone! 

I'm so excited about 2023 and the projects I'm working on. I found in the past, if I didn't give myself a 'deadline' to complete a project, I simply never would. I'm going to do my best to not let that happen in 2023. I'm trying my best to sort of 'autopilot' a lot of admin work, and one of those things I don't want to think about too much is scheduling projects. When I should finish something so it's ready for crowdfunding, or preorders, or to assembly and ship out! I want to set it and just show up to my little creative office and get to work. 

So I stayed up all night and made this calendar: 

Nothing is set in stone of course, 2023 may not turn out anything like this at all. But just putting this together was pretty therapeutic and helped me organize the things I want to accomplish next year. I'm finding if I can find a way to visualize scope, my brain just processes the time better that way. The right column is a weekly view of next year, and just seeing the colored bars spaced out helps me get a quick grasp of how much breathing room between releases I'm giving myself. The last thing you want as a creative is to burn out. Setting the pace early, I'm hoping, will prevent some of that artist fatigue that hits us all at some point. 

If you think something like this will help you, I've attached the Affinity Photo file I used to make this. Simply replace the project titles with your own, change the colors, and adjust the project blocks to fit your title lengths. There's a little work involved to get it looking just right, but like piecing a puzzle together, a little problem solving is good for the noggin. Lay your projects out and see where things fall for you and if you need to make any adjustments. Maybe don't plan a big release right when you're graduating, or before the family vacation, etc.
