This is the Print & Playtest edition of HUMAN: An Alora Origin Story.

They say there are 6 basic human emotions.
Happiness, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, Surprise and Fear.
In 2125, an AI god hunts you down in the trilogy adventure series; MIRU.
Before Alora became a god, she was Eve.
A house android, made to do the duties of a maid for wealthy families.
Her story begins on the factory floor as staff run a diagnostic and prepare her to join her new family.

This Print & Playtest kit is the prologue/tutorial for her origin story. Her story covers 6 chapters, each named after the basic human emotions as she discovers them on her path to becoming a god. The player takes on the role of Alora and those controlling her, as she works through her memories. Alora manages a simple deck of emotions while staff or her creator operate a mancala-like action board. The player manages her behavior and emotions as she works through tasks and memories, aiming to clear the goal for the chapter. From boot up to being a god.

This project is Published by Mimic Publishing. We're aiming to create a physical product and this is the first step in that process. Any donations spent here (up to $15) will receive a coupon of the same amount (see below), to be applied if you preorder the real deal on our website (link posted here at a later time). This is a small attempt to step away from relying on Kickstarter.  We're currently expecting an MSRP of $25-30.

The coupon amounts we will give are:
$5 | $10 |  $15      +$5 more. (if you donate $5 you'll get a coupon for $10)

We're considering a special item for those who donate and use their coupon code to preorder. (tho we're not fans of exclusives, so it's tricky to consider, if you have ideas, leave them in the comments!)

This print & playtest does require you have access to:

a printer (it's approximately 6 pages right now)
10 dice of 1 color (or small token equivalent)
3 dice of another color (or small token equivalent)
3 dice of a third color (or small token equivalent)
You'll probably want some old playing cards and sleeves for backing the cards needed to be cut out. approx. 45.

This project may not come into fruition or may take a long time to be made. While I have every intention of finishing it, if we don't raise enough funds/interest here, we don't have the money to make it happen. The project goal/timeline looks something like this:

Playtest / garner interest. raise approx. $1000. (here on itch, then to next step)
Preorder raise approx. $10,000+. (This could take several months without the concentrated Kickstarter marketing and campaign pressure of 2 weeks)
Order the minimum 1500 units (approx. -$10,000)
Ship orders (in house)
Quit my job to be a full time game maker.

Updates for chapter completion will be posted here on itch and on the Atopia Discord. (Human has it's own channel) Please post feedback on the discord, in the comments here,  DM or email me.

Sorry to the first few folks who paid and not showing up in that goal progress bar thing. I figured that thing out a little too late, so sorry!

Looks fun!

Thank you! Solo only, but I've had a blast with it so far. Very easy to get lost in the puzzle. Excited to add more story elements.

Will this be shipped outside of the US, should it reach its goal?

Yep! Tho, we've given up on pre paying VAT, it cost us too much for the few orders we got. Apologies there. Maybe one day we'll grow big enough to work with a European warehouse.

Honestly, that's fine.
